It’s always been said that two co-workers should never consider dating because it will cause too much tension in the work place if it doesn’t work out for what ever reason. But sometimes there are the uncontrollable desires to go out together just to see what it would be like. Most of the time when it doesn’t work out you will definitely be able to cut the tension in the work space with a knife. When you consider dating at work you need to also weigh all your options.

When you date at work it can result in school like behavior. All the guys gather around the water cooler to find out what happened last night. Even though you are adults now, this stuff still goes on in the work place and you need to be prepared for that. At the same time once your name gets around then it doesn’t take long for people to classify you in a bad category.

If you do decide to date a co-worker keep the simple rules in mind; Be friends even if it hurts. This will save you a lot of grief if you just take things natural. Don’t be too eager to have a relationship with that person. Chances are there will be too much tension at work to help the relationship. Instead, you may find that dating a co-worker will hinder your relationship with everyone at work, including your boss. That is a thin line that you don’t want to cross.
